![]() Source: AP Jerry Yang, a psychologist from southern California won the WSOP 2007 Main Event! Ok, where is the love? Best Poker Websites predicted his victory, as you can see the post below! Here's a link to the payouts for this year's WSOP, and as you can tell, 8M is not 12M. But it's not too shabby either! This year's registration to the main event was down 26% from last year. Much of that decline can be attributed to the UGIEA bill that killed online payment processing. Online poker is not dead by any stretch, but it's not growing like it was last year. Until the US Congress gets it act together and revokes the ban, online poker will remain a stagnant market compared to the crazy growth years of 2003-2006. BTW- Online poker room Full Tilt Poker made out with the best marketing at this year's WSOP. Jerry Yang was dressed up and down with Full Tilt gear. Congrat's to Full Tilt Poker! |
